www.euronews.com The US presidential election has been a tight horserace, with Mr. Obama and Mr. Romney slugging it out over each new set of economic results. But how about their foreign policy? On trade, on relations with Europe? The world's two largest trading powers are economically joined at the hip, with a crisis in one deeply affecting the fortunes of the other. If Europeans could vote, whom would they choose? An incumbent Democrat more inclined to regulate and steer the economy through state intervention, or a more laissez-faire Republican? What of the global hotspots? How to deal with Iran's and North Korea's nuclear programs? How to halt bloodshed in Syria and seek regime change? How to withdraw from and stabilise Afghanistan and Iraq, as well as try to solve the Israeli-Palestinian standoff? Who is more likely to see eye-to-eye with the Europeans on those issues? Or are some analysts right that US and European interests are decoupling -- that the US is increasingly looking toward Asia, and Europe toward its own backyard? From Warsaw: Rafal Trzaskowski, a Polish member of the European Parliament, a member of the EPP Group -- the European People's Party that includes his Civic Platform. He is on the parliament's delegation for US relations. Here at the European Parliament in Brussels: V Author: Euronews Duration: 10:00

In this weeks episode, President Rafael Correa of Ecuador discusses with Julian whether it's always the case of good media vs corrupt government, and examines his country's relationship with the United States. Discussion opens with the circumstances surrounding the attempted coup de tat in Ecuador in 2010, during which the president was taken hostage. From there this weeks interview moves on to the key relationships between media, money and the interests of the United states that are at play in Ecuador. Following the coup attempt, Correa embarked on a furious and controversial counter offensive on Ecuador's media. He attributes the media's influence over the events of 2010 to the vested interests of corporate power and its control of Ecuador's media, now explosively claiming corporate owners of the media "disguised as journalists, are trying to do politics, to destabilise our governments so that no change takes place in our region, for fear of losing the power they have always flaunted". Everybody is glowing about the speech Obama made, accepting his party's nomination. It was a historic moment, but that shouldn't over shadow the fact that the speech was no different than any other political speech. Obama is no different than any other phony politician. His speech proved once again that he is full of rhetoric and partisan demagoguery, and not the voice of hope and change. Author: TheUltimateJew Duration: 6:03
