Topics in this interview include his relationship with his Mother, being ready to embrace role as a leader and his historic trip to the White House to perform for the Obama's. Common shares the story of that day, which began with him at a plantation doing research for one of his new roles as a freed slave, to then performing his poetry for the first black president at the white house, to then getting vilified by Fox News.
