HEART - STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN in HD - The Kennedy Center Honors LED ZEPPELIN, 2012.

On Dec. 26 the 2012 Kennedy Center Honors was aired on national television for the first time on CBS. During the event, which took place at the Kennedy Center Opera House, Ann Wilson and Nancy Wilson of Heart performed Led Zeppelin's "Stairway to Heaven" with Jason Bonham on drums. The honor is given to those in the performing arts for their lifetime of contributions to American culture and in 2012 the surviving members of Led Zeppelin (John Paul Jones, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant) were among those honored. During their segment, the Foo Fighters performed "Rock and Roll," Lenny Kravitz performed "Whole Lotta Love," and Kid Rock performed both "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You" and "Ramble On". The performance of "Stairway to Heaven" began with Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart performing the song with a backing band, which included Jason Bonham on drums. He is the son of Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham, who passed away in 1980. As the song progressed, back-up singers, a string section, and the Joyce Garrett Youth Choir came on stage to help perform "Stairway to Heaven". The choir members and Jason Bonham were wearing bowler hats, which was a tribute to the band's late drummer John Bonham. Throughout the performance lead vocalist Robert Plant was noticeably moved, and towards the end of the song he had tears in his eyes. The president took pains not to repeat the mistakes of his debate debut, a lackluster performance that even the president has described as an off night. With Romney gaining in the polls on the heels of that debate, Obama was visibly more aggressive on stage at Hofstra University -- as the Republican nominee maintained the kind of steady and methodical approach he used during their first encounter. Neither candidate was prepared to give ground. The president, as well as Romney, repeatedly cut off the moderator to squeeze in extra seconds of response time. John Drew states unequivocally that Obama at this time was a fervent Marxist-Leninist that looked towards a literal proletariat revolution in the United States. Of course we know that President Obama has surrounded himself to the hilt with radicals that included openly communist Van Jones, who would have remained until this day if not for the likes of Glenn Beck and an army of bloggers that daily uncovered more and more of Jones' radical connections. Was Team Obama that dense that they didn't know Jones was a communist? This is hardly likely since there were YouTube videos of Jones spouting off about revolution literally months before Obama appointed him Green Jobs czar. Obama knew he was a communist because Obama during his Occidental years, during his Columbia years, during his Harvard years and today is, as John Drew states, a Marxist-Leninist. Hopefully the "revolution" that Obama seeks will be the overthrow of his presidency in November—or if we're lucky his impeachment.
