On today's Brief we rehash last night's VP Debate, discover the most annoying sound in the world and consider the EU's new Nobel Peace Prize. First up, after Obama's lacklustre debate against Mitt Romney, the Democrats were hoping for something special from incumbent Vice President Joe Biden as he squared off against Paul Ryan last night. If nothing else, the VP debate was a lot more entertaining. Biden and Ryan traded blows on the economy and foreign affairs, with the older senator aggressively attacking his opponent with interruptions & zingers - all while flashing that borderline delirious smile of his. In the end, most commentators felt the pair were evenly matched with Biden taking a slight advantage as the incumbent. Still Ryan performed better than expected against the veteran politician so we'll ask you guys - who do you think came out on top last night? www.reuters.com Next up, if you had to guess, what would you say is the most annoying sound in the world? Kids crying? A jackhammer? Your wife's nag? Just kidding. I know all your wives have angelic voices, but seriously, the garbage isn't going to take itself out.
