On today's Brief we watch as Obama gets his groove back, Nike gives Lance Armstrong the cold shoulder and Isis prepares to launch an NFC revolution! First up, if Obama seemed sluggish or off his game during the first presidential debate, let's just say he got his groove back for the second one. The town-hall forum gave Obama plenty of opportunities to aggressively defend his actions in the aftermath of the Benghazi attacks, justify his decision to save the auto industry and remind everyone what Mitt Romney thinks about 47% of the country and 100% of women. Yep, among several Romney missteps was one where he claimed that "binders of women" were delivered to him by his staff as he sought to find a qualified one to employ. The statement quickly became an internet meme and another painful memory the Republicans will have to erase...we're still cringing from Paul Ryan's make-believe volunteering at a soup kitchen. wapo.st Next up, he's been banned from competing and stripped of his titles, and now Lance Armstrong has been dropped by several of his sponsors, including Nike and Radio Shack. Nike claims that it's with great sadness that they're severing ties with the cyclist but that it can't ignore overwhelming evidence that Armstrong took part in doping and misled the company for years. Armstrong also recently announced the has resigned as the director of his cancer charity. Nike and the Livestrong brand will continue to be partners without Armstrong's involvement.
