Conservative bloggers in 2008 discovered Obama's long-time connection to domestic terrorist Bill Ayers. Of course we all remember Obama's "Bill Ayers is just some guy in my neighborhood" line. That he bumped into Ayers occasionally at the market. I remember picturing their shopping carts colliding, perhaps an orange falling out of Ayers' basket, the long-time community organizer being the humanitarian that he is, offering to pick it up. What we didn't learn until it was too late, however, was that this "just a guy in my neighborhood" line was a downright lie. That Ayers and his domestic terrorist partner in crime Bernardine Dohrn had hosted Obama's Illinois State Senate campaign in their home in 1995. And that Ayers and Obama had served on two Leftist foundations, the Woods Fund and Chicago Annenberg Project, where they funneled millions of dollars to "social justice" (that is, socialist) groups. We also learned that when Ayers' memoir Fugitive Days came out in 2001, that he bragged about setting bombs in the 1970s. That he had wished that he had detonated more bombs. That he had desecrated a flag by standing on it as a publicity photo for the book. The Radical Left have romanticized the 1970s Weather Underground period, Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn being viewed as a type of Bonnie and Clyde, fighting against the slaughter of innocents in Vietnam. Currently in Afghanistan, there are 121000 US contractors and 68000 US troops. As a result of the coming surge, another 30000 troops and 56000 contractors are expected. But US lawmakers are afraid that the mistakes that plagued military contracting in Iraq will be repeated in Afghanistan. Will the shadow armies be required to protect the Afghan civilian population? What are the chances that military contractors could cause major damage to Americas mission in Afghanistan? Will the Obama administration be able to prevent the waste, fraud and abuse seen in Iraq? In a globalised world, perhaps it was inevitable that private companies would become major players in diplomacy. But the fact is that contractors are doing the job that the State Department, Pentagon and CIA once did on their own. Recently the CIA announced that it had stopped using Blackwater (now known as Xe Services) to conduct raids and other special operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, but some press reports say Xe Services are still at the center of a secret program in Karachi, Pakistan, where they plan assassinations of suspected Taliban and Al Qaeda members, among other operations. In this episode, we examine the role of US military contractors in Afghanistan as the US widens its footprint there. Here's a political montage I put together to try and compile some of the recent clips I've seen. It starts out with Bush handing off the baton to Obama like teammates on a track team, each one running a leg towards the fulfillment of the new world order, suppressing our rights and freedoms and working to a one world government. The second half of the video is an attempt to give some hope and show people being active and resisting in the hopes that people would be inspired and motivated to speak out. There is footage used from Iraq and Afghanistan, the g20 protests in Pittsburgh and Europe, the inauguration of Obama, and the famous "what if" speech given by Ron Paul. There is also clips of Alex Jones from the film "New World Order" and Luke Rudkowski from the G20 in Pittsburgh. Some footage was taken from the film "New World Order" and the music is "The Day The Whole World Went Away" by Nine Inch Nails.
