Classic funnyman Phil Rosenthal comes into the studio to talk about his new documentary Exporting Raymond, which shows the process of bringing his hallmark show, Everybody Loves Raymond to Russia. Phil also talks about what it's like writing jokes for Clinton and Obama, tabloid culture and the business they call 'show'. GUEST BIO: Philip Rosenthal is a television writer and producer best known for creating the hit series Everybody Loves Raymond starring Ray Romano. During the course of its run Rosenthal served as the show's writer and executive producer. Prior to his work on Raymond, he wrote and produced Coach starring Craig T. Nelson and Baby Talk starring Tony Danza. Besides his work in television, Rosenthal is the author of the book, You're Lucky You're Funny: How Life Becomes a Sitcom and wrote and directed the feature documentary, Exporting Raymond which tells the story of how he tried to turn Everybody Loves Raymond into a successful Russian sitcom.
